Any chance I'm getting this for Valentine's Day?? Probably not since it costs $700!!!! Dang. That doesn't mean that I can't love it, right? It just seemed appropriate since it is in such a lovely shade.
I already have what I want anyway...my sweet Drew P (so cheesy, I know).
But let me ask you this? Does anyone out there *really* like conversation hearts? You know, those colorful yet oh so chalky little freaks that always end up in my house after Valentine's Day? I can't figure out how they get there...no one in my family has ever liked them and I surely don't buy them. Where do they come from? What are they? Forgive me if you are a lover of conversation hearts - I always replace them with the SweetTart version. Same cute colors minus the chalk dust.
Any ideas of what to get a man for Valentine's Day? Anyone ever gotten something HORRIBLE for V-Day??

I totally love conversation hearts, both the sweet (and chalky) ones, and the SweetTart ones. *PS I looooove sour stuff too!* As for what to give a guy for V-Day...I have no idea! This year is actually going to be the first year of my LIFE that I've been with someone for Valentine's Day. So I'll be interested to see if anyone gives any good suggestions.
And also, I think we should be friends. I've read a few of your posts today and you're just fabulous. :-) Oh, and I think I might steal the Honest Scrap thingy and do it on my blog even though no one tagged me...is that lame? hehe
I LOVE the conversation hearts. I also love Neco wafers, so makes sense I suppose.
I gave my ex a dog for Valentine's Day. But when we broke-up, I got the dog...so maybe it wasn't a gift for him...or maybe I'm just an indian giver?
My husband and I love going to new restaurants, so I always find a unique one and take him there. One place had a table for 2 in the kitchen, and the chef served you personally. But that's just cause we love food!
And I LOVE the conversation hearts. I am on a diet and I couldn't even go near the V-Day section in the grocery store.
love the hearts too and the sweet tart version as well. have you ever thought to go onto red envelope.com? They have some cute ideas- i think i am gonna get this really cool "manly" watch/loose change/misc. case that is monogrammed. great for in the closet or when he empties out his pockets after work.
I LOVE THAT PURSE.
I can't stand the taste of conversation hearts, but they are still cute.
The worst V-day gift I ever got was one of those framed engraved glass things that have that engraved poem about love on them. It was from a bf I had in high school. So weird. I would have rather had a stuffed animal.
The best V-day gift was a pink butterfly necklace.
Guys are so hard to shop for.
Coversation hearts are my favorite candy EVER! i wish they were sold year-round.
i'm with you on not liking the conversation hearts but i like the sweetTart version.
i always try to make my boyfriend something -- whether it's baking, drawing a card, cooking dinner, etc. Last year I got Mike heart-shaped pancake molds, and then I made him pancakes (served in bed).
I don't like that candy either! I don't like heart shaped candy boxes that don't list which piece of candy has what kind of filling inside. That drives me nuts!
I think this year Dimples and I are going to a family style Italian restaurant in DC. We usually just go to dinner together and spend the night together on Valentines Day. However, we take turns each year planning VDay!
Oh my Lawd...I LOVE that color! What a cute bag!
oh...i hate conversation hearts. they are just little colored ant-acids. too many, and you'll deprive your body of natural acids it needs! (and i love that purse)
I love them and almost any candy that goes along with a holiday!!
hey ashley! just stopping by to say hi and thanks for comment on my blog!
I also LOVE that bag. I am not really a pink purse girl usually, but that pink is soft and chic and I never say no to Coach (Ok, I always say no to the price tag but I never say no to window shopping!). Come to think of it, I think that is the bag I pointed out to my boyfriend the other day at the mall! :)
As far as conversation hearts go, I have to say I like them, but probably more for the childhood memories and (literally) sweet sentiments-- not so much for the taste.
In love with that purse!!!
For V-Day we just go to a fancy restaurant with dancing, good steak and good wine and we're both happy!
Ok, I hate conversational hearts. If they were never seen again, I'd totally be ok with that. This year the hubby is getting a new saw that he's been asking about or a brew-your-own-beer-kit, something he's interested in persuing. He has to work the night of the 14th so I'm going to surprise him with something we did when we were REALLY broke right after we got married. We would make mac-and-cheese and chicken nuggets (both way cheap), eat on our nice dishes with candles and watch a movie. Since we're on a time crunch this year, it's back to a trusted little tradition of ours. :) Cheesy, yes. Sweet and romantic? Definately.
I'm also stumped for V-day!!! What do you do??? Guess he's just lucky to see me!! haha. And loveeee that bag. Ouuuuu just 150 bucks a month and you can have it for summer??
I'M OFFICIALLY IN LOVE WITH THIS PURSE..........HAVE TO HAVE IT, IT'S GOT MY NAME ALL OVER IT!!!
What a "Texas Sweetheart" you are!!!! Psyched to meet you:)
~~ K
i bought the SweetTart ones today and packed up by v-day goodies! i'm a total loser and think that valentines is one of the best holidays and always send my two best friends all kinds of good stuff....maybe even more than i send them on their b-days. weird, huh?
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that purse!!! I had my fingers crossed that they would have it at the Coach outlet in San Marcos....no such luck. And I just CANNOT bring myself to pay *that* much for a purse. It's lovely.
