Give Me a Ring-a-ling...

Yayyyyyy! I am finally up for a cell phone upgrade and I couldn’t be happier. I absolutely love my current phone (Blackjack) which I have diligently kept for two whole years (a feat previously unknown to me!). It has been the perfect phone…until last week when I dropped it. It now sports a fashionable rubber band which is necessary to hold the battery and back onto the phone and therefore necessary to operate my sweet little Blackjack.

So, here’s my question: Which phones do you recommend? I need something Blackberry-like with email capabilities. Do you ladies have phones that you love or even phones to stay away from??

I hate wait to see the suggestions – I need major help selecting a new phone (even though I have my eye on the iPhone if you couldn't tell from the picture above!!).

I am getting the Blackberry curve when I am eligible for my upgrade in August...I can't stand the touch screen of the iPhone, or else I would get it!

I have a Blackberry Curve and I LOVE it. It has all the amazing features of the iPhone but its better. My husband is a serious techie and he did tons of research before he ordered our current Blackberries.

iPhones require AT&T which means a much more expensive data plan. The batteries require more frequent charging (my Blackberry can go 2 days with heavy usage before it needs a charge). The touch screens can be frustrating (blackberry has QWERTY keyboard which is quicker to use). Then my biggest concern was getting a touch screen dirty. They can be finicky if damage happens. I don't like high maintenance phones so the Blackberry feels and looks sturdier. Plus, our data plan for 2 people is the same as 1 data plan for an iPhone so we don't spend as much.

Plus, the iPhones always look dirty with fingerprint smudgies :-)

I'm leaning toward the Blackberry Curve, myself...

Weird. My plan just ended yesterday! I am in the need of a new phone as well =)!! I have the pink BB pearl right now. I'm not really loving it-- it freezes a lot etc. So...I think I'm going to go with the curve...it also comes in pink =) My BF has the curve in black and loves it. BUUUUUUUT I hear a new BB is going to be released in May...called the Niagara and I think there might be another one as well. I'm debating between waiting for the new release or just going with the curve. Decisions, Decisions.

PS: I generally text A-lot! I find that touch screen phones are a little delayed when it comes to keeping up with my fast little fingers!

Happy Phone Hunting =)

Oh, about other Blackberries, Hubby's sales people had BB storms and they returned all of them. They had delays and usage problems. They got the BB flip ones and like them but not as much as the Curve.

My husband has the iPhone and he loves it (and so do I) it is a great phone and it even messed up on him and just had a black screen he took it to apple and they gave him another no questions asked. I want one but I have to wait another year.

The iphone will change your life. Blackberries just try to be the iphone and nothing comparies. I went from a blackberry and I cannot even imagine life without my iphone now.

This is depressing. I am addicted to my iphone ha ha.

blackberry all the way.... sure the iphone is good Mr. J has one but it's good for games and such. There is nothing functionality wise that the iphone does that the blackberry cant do either. Plus you just can't beat blackberry email set up.
So Blackberry curve!

OH plus it comes in cool colors :)

iPhone ALL THE WAY!!!!! It was JUST voted the best gadget of the year AND the best Smarthphone of the year. What was the worst? The Blackberry Storm.

Yes, the Blackberry does everything the iPhone does BUT when you're looking at web pages on your iPhone, it looks just like your computer. Not so with the Blackberry....it's hard to read and the pages can be forever long with lists and lists of links.

Plus you can't get a faster speed and the zoom in and zoom out feature is great. Email set up on this thing is a breeze...I have 3 emails all in one place!

Can you tell I like my iPhone?! :) Good luck!

i love new phone time! i got the blackberry curve a bit ago. i was debating between the iphone and the curve but am very happy with my decision. i personally don't need the ipod with the phone and don't like the touch on it. if i could choose now i'd still choose the storm over the iphone!

I vote iPhone!! I am addicted to mine. I used to love my blackberry but hated the way e-mail way set up. Since I got the iPhone I have been able to do everything and the 3G internet is amazing. Feel free to ask any further questions about an iPhone. It does take some time getting used to.

I have an iphone as well and definitely recommend it. I had the BB Pearl before and never really used any of the features but when my fiance got the iphone I didn't want to be left out (yes I'm a dork) I got one too not knowing if I would ever use it. I LOVE it! To avoid the screen smudges just get the screen protector that is anti-glare. Its great bc it has applications to do EVERYTHING. I count my calories, look up calories and stuff for resturants, maps, email, and the guilty pleasure of facebook of course. Ok enough rambling...

I'm getting an upgrade this month to the blackberry curve and I can't wait! I know the iphone is cool but I'm just not techy enough to use it on a daily basis haha!

I've definitely heard good things about the iphone! My bf upgraded his blackberry to the storm and really really hated it... he switched back! I think the touch screen was a little difficult to use and he uses it every 5 seconds at work so that just wasn't ok :) Good luck!
