I now fully believe that anything that claims to plump your lips is a complete scam!!! Sure, it may make your lips FEEL bigger (enter tingly feeling) but it sure as hell does not make them LOOK any bigger. I guess my lips are average size and don't need plumping but shouldn't products actually DO what they SAY they say they will do??
Anyone ever come across one that actually works?

Try Lip Venom.. it makes your lips tingle, even burn but it definitely plumps them. It takes some getting used to but definitely worth it!
i really haven't tried anything that definitely increases the size of my lips. i've found that some glosses will sting and others will make them super shiny -- but at the end of the day there's really no difference
I love Lip venom. It really tingles, but i love that sensation and they make my lips look fuller. I have average sized lips as well, and can tell a difference.
LIP VENOM!!!
oh i just seen that others agree, so there ya go~ lol.
One of my friends has some lip plumping gloss from Sephora and it does work. I think it's call buxom, but I could be sooooo wrong about the name.
I don't like the way that stuff feels anyway.
i have a "lip plumper" from mac. it smells one way, tastes another, and makes my lips sting. they dont appear bigger at all. its a scam. you are right!!
I'm with you, they always just make my lips tingle instead of getting plumper.
I don't think I really need plumping in that area, but I've heard that if you go to a natural food store and buy peppermint oil and put a little on your lips that does the trick!
I don't really use lip plumpers, even though my lips aren't plump, but I have heard good things about Lip Venom, which the other commenters have attested to :) Usually I just layer gloss over my lipstick to get a fuller effect. But yes, I agree, makeup should DO what it SAYS. too many don't. which explains all the barely used makeup bottles/tubes in my bathroom...
oh i know exactly what you mean. i have invested in so many of those lip plumping products and find that none of them work like they say they will - they just sting! what i found works really well for volume is using two nars products - their lipstick pencil with their pot of gloss on top. and they have such great colors, too!
